Sour Nipple.

Naughty!
Last year on her photo blog, Tina challenged us to submit an image illustrating “double entendre” — or maybe it was just “double” and I went with entendre, I forget (sorry, Tina, too lazy to go back and check, sue me). So after two full rolls of hand-held available-light macro shots, this was the only keeper — the pretty little prize that validates the effort. You shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot, or write and write and write and write, or play and play and play and play, or paint and paint and paint and paint — You do your stuff, and if you’re lucky you get one result that really makes you happy, and all those lesser efforts fall from memory. Proof that you know what you’re doing.
(Yeah, yeah, the depth of field could be better, shaddap about it.)

Oh my! When I first clicked on the page, before my eyes completely focused, I didn’t realize it was citrus. So true about creating stuff. I swear I’ve written more crap as a slog along. But then I’ll get to something really good and I think, yeah, I can do this.

Now that’s a concept I like, I’m going to try to put my own spin on it. The question is, what can I manage with an 18-55 canon kit lens. I think I better wait to get my own camera back, 6mp isnt going to stand the crop.
Great image, what was in the background?

Hi, James – Although you might get some interesting (read: bizarre) results with 6mp! The background of this one is just a baseboard heater; I shot this on our dining room table.

Brilliant image! It certainly made me do a double take. The “double entendre” theme opens up a myriad of imaginative possibilities for subtle but sublime ways to illustrate it. I think this image does a great job… The “sour nipple” title is great too LOL… as in “when you were expecting some sugar baby and only got lemon” or …”when romance goes sour?” Never mind that it was the only usable image.. if you get a great shot you only need the one:)
